Advisory Board
Emily Rankin is Vice President of Development at Pacific Symphony, where she leads a fundraising team responsible for executing the Symphony’s $80 million campaign in support of endowment growth and programming innovation, culminating in its 50th Anniversary Season in 2028–2029. At Flatrock Wealth Partners, Emily serves as a philanthropic advisor, providing strategic guidance as we work with client families on their charitable intent and impact.
She brings over two decades of experience in higher education and nonprofit leadership, having held senior advancement roles at the University of California, Riverside, Scripps College, University of San Diego, Whittier College, Opera Pacific, and the Byrd Hoffman Foundation. Most recently, she served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development at UC Riverside, where she played a pivotal role in strategic campaign planning and served on the university’s Advisory Committee on Campus Art.
She holds an Executive MBA and certificates in leadership, strategy, and management from Claremont Graduate University and the Peter Drucker School of Management, and a BA in international relations and French studies from Scripps College.
