Meet Kevin

Kevin Winters is a co-founder of Flatrock Wealth Partners, LLC. He plays a pivotal role on both the Flatrock Management and Investment Committees and is responsible for steering the firm’s client advisory board and overall strategic direction. Mr. Winters specializes in advising affluent, multi-generational families, crafting customized investment and wealth management strategies that align with their long-term vision. He brings extensive expertise in capital markets, particularly in fixed income and alternative investments. Beyond this, he assists executives with complex financial matters, including deferred compensation, restricted stock, and 10b5-1 plans.

Kevin’s career spans over 16 years as an Executive Vice President at PIMCO, a renowned global asset manager based in Newport Beach, California. At PIMCO, he served as a Product Strategist in the Product Strategy Group, focusing on opportunistic credit interval funds, private real estate debt and equity solutions, and multi-asset portfolios tailored for financial advisors, family offices, and registered investment advisors. Previously, Kevin led PIMCO’s RIA and multi-family office team, directing distribution strategy and managing a U.S. team of account managers overseeing $45 billion in assets across alternatives and fixed income. He was also a member of PIMCO’s Global Wealth Management Operating Committee overseeing 150 employees and setting strategic initiatives for his department.

Before joining PIMCO, Mr. Winters held executive roles at Alliance Bernstein and Trust Company of the West (TCW), where he was instrumental in developing the single/multi-family office and RIA business. With over 25 years of experience in the capital markets, Kevin holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and has earned designations as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA). Outside of his professional endeavors at Flatrock Wealth Partners, Kevin is actively involved with Casa Teresa, serving as a Board Member and Chair of the Investment Committee. In his leisure time, he enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, surfing, running, and scuba diving, often accompanied by his wife of 18 years, their three energetic sons, and their dog.
